De-Biasing Your Jury In the Absence of Voir Dire

Published by Maryland Association for Justice

Without meaningful voir dire in Maryland, counsel is often blind to the true nature of their juries. Join MAJ for a special seminar teaching "de-biasing," a new strategy in social science that aims to reduce the extent and effects of jury biases.

In addition to an in-depth presentation from Denver-based expert Ken Broda-Baum on de-biasing, research and techniques, the seminar will feature a live jury panel. Observe as mock jurors are introduced to a fact pattern and case, and participate in a focus group interview.
