PRESIDENT
Amy M. Orsi has been an attorney with the Law Offices of Markey & Orsi, originally the Law Offices of Stephen A. Markey, III, PC, since 2002 and became a partner in 2009. She represents victims in personal injury and medical malpractice cases in both state and federal court. Amy received her B.A. from the State University of New York at Buffalo in Legal Studies in 1998 and her J.D. from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 2002.
Amy is admitted to practice in Maryland, the United States District Court for the District of Maryland and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. In addition to MAJ, she is also a member of the American Association for Justice and the Bar Associations for Baltimore City and Baltimore County. Amy has been on the Board of Governors for MAJ since 2009 and has served on and co-chaired various committees and sections within the organization, including co-chair of the Auto Negligence Section, Education and Programs Committee, and Mentoring Committee, and is a member of the Auto Negligence Section, Medical Negligence Section, and the Women’s Caucus.
In addition to her professional associations, Amy is also a trained presenter for EndDD.Org (End Distracted Driving), a national campaign presented to students and drivers all over the country to provide a personalized, interactive presentation about the dangers of distracted driving, and has presented to local high schools over the past several years.
Her honors include being named as a “Super Lawyer,” “National Trial Lawyers Top 100” and a “Lawyer of Distinction.”

PRESIDENT-ELECT
Eric N. Schloss practices personal injury in Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C. Eric concentrates in injuries caused by motor vehicle collisions, workers's compensation cases and personal injury litigation. Eric has an AV Rating with Martindale-Hubbell and was selected as a "2013 Top Rated Lawyer in Personal Injury Law" by American Lawyer Media and Martindale-Hubbell. He was selected to the 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013, 2012, 2011 and 2010 lists of Maryland Super Lawyers in Maryland Super Lawyers Magazine in the area of Personal Injury Plaintiff: General. He was also selected to the 2009 Rising Stars as seen in Maryland Super Lawyers magazine in the area of Personal Injury Plaintiff: General. In addition to serving on the Board of Governors, Eric is Co-Chair of the MAJ Auto Negligence Section and serves on the MAJ Education & Programs Committee. He is also a member of the Legislative Committee and has testified before the Maryland General Assembly. In the past, Eric has been a frequent lecturer for the MAJ and a frequent writer for MAJ's quarterly law journal, Trial Reporter.

VICE PRESIDENT
Emily C. Malarkey is a graduate of the University of Maryland School of Law and a partner at Bekman, Marder & Adkins, LLC in Baltimore. She joined the firm in 2006 after completing an appellate judicial clerkship for the Honorable Sally D. Adkins on the Court of Special Appeals. Since then, she has developed a busy practice in the areas of medical negligence, wrongful death and other catastrophic injury. Ms. Malarkey has tried many complicated medical negligence trials, including three with verdicts in excess of $2 million. She also has represented clients in numerous appeals that have gone on to create published law and has been named a Rising Star in every edition of Maryland Super Lawyers since 2010. In addition, to serving on the Board of Directors of MAJ, she is also a member of the Maryland State Bar Association's Appellate Practice Committee. She lives in Timonium with her husband and two children and in her spare time, pretends to be a runner and aspiring chef.

David A. Muncy focuses his practice on personal injury, workers' compensation and Social Security Disability cases. He has tried hundreds of cases before the Maryland District and Circuit Courts, Maryland Workers' Compensation Commission and the Social Security Administration. David graduated from the University of Maryland College Park in 2009 and graduated from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 2012 magna cum laude, graduating in the top 10 percent of his class. David joined Plaxen & Adler, PA upon graduation from law school in 2012 and was made a partner in the firm in 2017. In 2015, David was named to the Daily Record's list of "20 in Their 20s" and was selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers' list of Maryland Rising Stars for 2017. He was also named to the Top 40 under 40 list by the National Trial Lawyers. Since 2013, David has volunteered with Wills for Heroes, a nonprofit organization which helps first responders put their legal affairs in order. He is also the Co-Chair of the Howard County Bar Association Young Lawyers Division. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family.

Gwen-Marie Davis is the founding and managing partner at GDH LAW Firm. She received her law degree from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 2006, after which she was a judicial clerk in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City. She worked in a small law firm in Montgomery County, Maryland and eventually started her firm in Lanham, Maryland. Gwen-Marie has been admitted to practice law in Maryland, on both state and federal Levels. She is also licensed in the District of Columbia and has been sworn into practice law in the U.S. Supreme Court.

Michael J. Winkelman of McCarthy, Winkelman & Mester, LLP practices civil litigation in state and federal courts throughout Maryland and select other jurisdictions, having tried over one hundred cases to verdict before judges and juries. He has extensive appellate experience having argued cases in front of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, the Maryland Court of Appeals and the Maryland Court of Special Appeals.

Ellen B. Flynn is the principal at the Flynn Law Group, LLC and of counsel to Smithey Law Group, LLC. Previously, she had been a partner in the law firm of Dugan, Babij, Tolley & Kohler, LLC, in Timonium, Maryland. She received a BS in Business Administration from the University of Richmond and obtained her JD from the Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law. She is admitted to practice law in Federal and State Courts of Maryland, Connecticut and the District of Columbia. Her primary practice area involves representing those injured by medical negligence. She lives with her husband and two daughters in Ellicott City, Maryland.
