Maximizing Damages at Trial

Published by Louisiana Association for Justice and Maryland Association for Justice

Summary

Maximizing damages at trial requires an approach that incorporates liability and every element of damages.

The task begins when the plaintiff’s lawyer takes the case, and it continues throughout discovery. The final execution is at trial, where starting in voir dire, opening, direct examinations, cross examinations, and closing argument, true maximization is achieved only by being bold and thinking big.

This program will touch on various techniques used to achieve top verdict amounts at trial.
