The Maryland Association for Justice joins the American Association for Justice and legal organizations nationwide in vigorously supporting the rule of law. The legal system is the bedrock of our system of government, and as lawyers we swore an oath to protect the law. MAJ remains committed to a fair and impartial legal system that protects the rights and safety of all people.

Our commitment extends not just to the rule of law, but the individuals who protect and are protected by the rule of law. The independence, and safety, of judges is paramount to an effective legal system. Lawyers and law firms should not be punished or threatened for advancing client interests as all citizens and corporations have the right to advance their interests in a court of law. And citizens must have assurance that the law will be fairly applied to everyone.
