The following privacy statement describes how each member’s personally identifiable information is used on www.marylandassociationforjsutice.com and with our website host and business partner, TrialSmith, Inc. at its website TrialSmith.com.  This policy does not reflect or establish privacy guidelines for list servers hosted by MAJ nor by TrialSmith. 

What is personally identifiable information?
These are things such as your name, firm name, mailing address, email address, telephone and fax number.

Information Collection and Use
MAJ, its affiliates, partners and sponsors may use personally identifiable information from members at several different points on its website. Once a member logs onto MAJ’s website, the member is not anonymous to MAJ, and usage patterns of the site can be monitored on an individual basis both for security and marketing purposes.

Registration Information Collected
In order to use portions of this website, a member must complete a registration form. During registration a member is required to verify his/her contact information (such as name, firm name, mailing address, email address, telephone, and fax number).

Credit Card and Financial Information Collected
Financial information (including credit card numbers) may be stored on TrialSmith's secure servers and will only be requested over secure SSL connections. However, MAJ has no access to credit card information.

Other information collected by MAJ
MAJ and TrialSmith receive and record information in their server logs from members' browsers including the member IP addresses. MAJ uses information for customizing content members see, for security purposes, administering the site, tracking member movement, and gathering broad demographic information for aggregate use. IP logs may be linked to members with personally identifiable information including searches performed on MAJ and TrialSmith.


Cookies 
MAJ and TrialSmith require cookies on their websites for member tracking and security purposes. Some of MAJ's business partners may also use cookies on the MAJ site (for example, vendors or sponsors). However, MAJ has no access to or control over cookies used by business partners, vendors and sponsors, and the member may choose to block cookies from those business partners.

Sharing your information
MAJ may share aggregated demographic information with our partners and sponsors. This information is not linked to any personal information that can identify any individual MAJ member. MAJ may partner with other businesses to provide specific member services. When members sign up for MAJ services provided by other business partners through the MAJ site, MAJ may share personally identifiable information that is necessary for the third party to provide such services. These business parties are required to use personally identifiable information exclusively for the purpose of providing their services.

MAJ may change its privacy policy without notice. If MAJ changes its privacy policy, MAJ will update the Privacy Policy on the MAJ website.
