Since Rochkind v. Stevenson was published, Reza Davani brainstormed ways to address an anticipated avalanche of Daubert attacks. His objective was not to work around the decision, but find ways for plaintiffs' medical experts in Maryland to satisfy the requirement. Reza's approach involves multiple stages, arguing against defense objections, and convincing a judge of the proper and fair interpretation. The methods he used were not case-specific, which means it can be used in a variety of ways.
In this program, he will walk through his approach for ensuring your medical experts comply with Daubert, share the briefing from his recent Daubert challenge, and break-down the successful arguments, strategies, and analogies he developed which you can utilize to overcome the Daubert challenge of any medical expert.
This program will help you:
- Communicate steps your medical experts can take to protect their methodology from Daubert /Rule 5-702(3) attacks
- How to outline and brief your Daubert opposition
- How to concisely explain this approach at a Daubert hearing
Speaker

Reza Davani of Ketterer, Browne & Associates, LLC was familiar with Daubert before the Rochkind decision. He spent four years working with Janet, Janet & Suggs, LLC on their mass-tort team, involved in national litigation where Daubert has been the standard for decades, with much of that time spent exclusively on research and writing performed for JJ&S's mass-tort team's motions' practice needs. Since then, he has continued to represent injured victims exclusively, having worked on matters relating to lead paint injuries, qui-tam, tractor-trailer collisions, boating collisions, and tripping hazards. His current practice focuses on medical malpractice, nursing home abuse, and motor vehicle collisions around the country, with a geographical focus in the Northeastern United States.
