Now is the time to get involved with MAJ legislative efforts. Last year, nearly 100 passionate MAJ members came together during Justice Day, join us in 2025! Can we reach our goal of 100 volunteers this year? Throughout a morning of advocacy, members will engage with legislators, forge and build on relationships with key stakeholders and champion legislation pivotal to our civil justice system.  Contribute to meaningful change for your client's best interests. Whether you're a seasoned advocate or new to Justice Day, your presence is essential. 

What to Expect

• Start the day with a briefing and strategy review over breakfast with the MAJ legislative team
• Join fellow MAJ members for legislator meetings pre-scheduled throughout the morning
• Meet with key legislators and advocate for MAJ 2025 priorities

On Monday January 27th prior to Justice Day, MAJ will host a virtual prep meeting via zoom at 9:00 am where we will cover all you need to know before the big day. Attendees will be given talking points, position papers, and will be placed in teams of at least four MAJ members for each assigned meeting. If this is your first Justice Day, you will be prepared and receive support all day.

MAJ's Legislative Leaders Circle

MAJ's legislative efforts extend beyond Justice Day. LLC members are vital to MAJ's efforts to maintain civil justice for injured clients and fight for laws that further the rights of all Marylanders. LLC funds are used to help MAJ maintain a strong presence in Annapolis and build relationships with state government leaders.  Now is the time to become a member of MAJ's Legislative Leaders Circle.
