Trials are won or lost based on one crucial factor: evidence. Effective trial advocacy demands not only a deep understanding of the rules of evidence but also the skill to apply them—admitting favorable evidence and excluding what is detrimental. When judges face evidentiary objections, whether in pretrial motions or at trial, they rely on the trial lawyers to articulate the relevant legal principles.
This seminar provides a unique opportunity to learn and revisit critical evidence concepts that are used by respected MAJ members, Kieran Murphy, Bertram & Murphy and Ashley Strandjord, ChasenBoscolo Injury Lawyers. The presenters have mastered the interplay between the technical aspect of evidence and the substantive presentation of a case. This will be an interactive program covering the rules of evidence including relevance, hearsay, authentication, expert testimony, curative admissibility, and everything in between.
Participants will gain practical tools for using motions in limine to narrow the evidentiary issues at trial. Learn how to navigate and use the rules of evidence to have evidence admitted during a case-in-chief. Gain the skills to use evidence rules to challenge witnesses and block harmful evidence, securing justice for your client.
Don’t miss this opportunity to enhance your skills in presenting evidence. Elevate your practice, and gain a competitive edge in the courtroom!
