The Civil Rights and Constitutional Law Section is a forum for attorneys who fight the persistent and systemic injustice caused by police and correctional misconduct, unlawful discrimination and all forms of government wrongdoing. This section's purpose is to share information to protect and expand the civil rights of everyone in the State of Maryland. The Section will maintain a special focus on underserved and underprivileged populations.
Section Benefits
Dues are renewable annually, and include an exclusive section list server, exclusive section-only document bank, exclusive section-only events and discounts to educational programming.
How to Join
Eligibility: All regular MAJ members in good standing who actively represent plaintiffs in civil rights and constitutional law actions and who do not represent defendants on behalf of police, correctional unions, governments or their agents and employees are eligible to apply for membership. There is an annual $50 section fee.
