Nursing Home Section

The Nursing Home Section provides a network of communication and collegial support among attorneys whose elderly clients have suffered catastrophic abuse and neglect in nursing homes and assisted living facilities. These serious cases include injuries or death due to decubitus ulcers, aspiration pneumonia, starvation, dehydration, gangrene, rape, assault, falls, burns and wandering.

Section Benefits

• Dues are renewable annually, and include an exclusive section list server, exclusive section-only events and discounts to educational programming.

How to Apply

Eligibility: All regular MAJ members in good standing who represent plaintiffs in nursing home, assisted living and/or other long-term care facilities in claims of negligence and/or abuse and whose firms do not represent defendants in those actions or medical negligence actions are eligible to apply. There is an annual $100 section fee.
