My MAJ
The Workers’ Compensation Section provides assistance to workers’ compensation attorneys and their clients and represents these parties in the continuing effort to preserve and improve Maryland’s workers’ compensation system.
Section Benefits
Dues are renewable annually, and include an exclusive section list server, exclusive section-only events and discounts to educational programming.
Section benefits also include:
- Lobbying in the Maryland legislature to preserve benefits for injured workers
- Representation of injured workers and their attorneys in regulatory hearings before the Workers’ Compensation Commission when rule changes are proposed
- Coordinate efforts with mutual interest groups such as the AFL-CIO, Maryland Workplace Healthcare Association, Maryland Workers’ Compensation Education Association, and the Maryland Orthopedic Association
How to Join
Eligibility: All regular MAJ members in good standing who represent injured workers in Workers’ Compensation hearings are eligible to apply. There is an annual $100 section fee.
